Bluffington’s Cafe, which has been around for 23 years, is a family-run, charismatic local corner spot that offers hot cups of morning coffee, yummy sandwiches, and fresh salads. For another hearty cup of joe by day and a romantic wine experience by night, visit Prairie Espresso & Wine Bar, run by a local couple that had a vision to serve its community. Inovasi is a special eatery that makes all of its cuisines by hand and from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. The innovative, modern American bistro and bar blends casual and upscale, serving its amazing eats in a chic dining room and atop a seasonal rooftop garden. There’s always something to look forward to here. Every year in Lake Bluff, there’s a 4th of July Parade with amazing performances and fun floats for the village to cheer on. Lake Bluff Criterium brings professional bicycle racing to Lake Bluff with an annual block party, stunt show, and — of course — a race. There are also frequent events that keep the town buzzing with fun things to do. The Farmers Market takes place every week in the Train Station, offering homemade goodies, locally-grown produce, and fresh meats. Artist on the Bluff promotes the appreciation of art with events featuring everything from large murals and small treasures to sculpture to fine art photography.
